#216, 22'  x 7.9''  Blunt Bow w/ Pods

Red boat photos courtesy of Lyman-Morse Fabrication, others courtesy of Cianbro Corp.

Lineage:

This V hull, blunt bow, hull design kit with its transom pods and recessed engine was developed for a large marine construction company for in-house construction and use.   A number  have also been built by Lyman-Morse Fabrication, and the design became a basis for many, similar heavy duty work skiffs.  The transom pods are an alternative to a more traditional recessed, forward-set, engine well.  By virtue of, in effect, removing the outboard, lower portions of the hull in this area the engine cutout becomes less vulnerable to funneled swamping when backing down.

The NC cutting kit is available with or without a fuel tank, helm console and leaning post, as well as other changes to suit.
