#296- Rock Salt 34' x 9.7'

Lineage:

This 34' hull kit design kit was the first of our Rock Salt designs developed in collaboration with Jay Perrotta for Rock Salt Boats and built by The Welded Boat Co. It's a 24 degree V hull of rugged construction, significant amenities, and a smooth, dry, ride. With twin 350 hp outboards, top speeds are in the 59 mph (52 knot) range. Intended as the basis for a production run, unfortunately the product launch coincided perfectly with the financial meltdown of 2008-9, and production level sales were just not happening. This first hull ended up working VIP tour duty at the BP oil spill. The design established builder and design credibility, which led to sales of related hulls, for commercial and recreational applications.

Subseqeunt kits will have some revision of construction details that were geared for multi-unit runs- primarily some of the forming. Additionally, we'll be happy to discuss other changes to the deck arrangement, consoles, and amenities.
